Experience: 11 years in veterinary practice with advanced training in veterinary dentistry. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology at Argosy University. She also spent time working as a technician at the humane society during college.

Pets: Frank her pug pal, her cat Mia, as well as her rats Penny & Patty Cake.

Interests: Veterinary dentistry & diagnostics, reading, scrapbooking, learning the piano and spending time with her husband and son.   

Ambitions/Goals: To continue her education and become a Veterinarian.

Name: Becky Palmer

Experience: 4 years in veterinary practice as a Veterinary Technician. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology at Minnesota School of Business in 2007.

Pets: Sadie Jo the talkative Chocolate Lab.  

Interests: Veterinary surgery & dentistry, snowmobiling, cooking, and
spending time with family and friends.   

Ambitions/Goals: To obtain her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology.

 

Name: Angie Rowland

Occupation: Certified Veterinary Technician

Date Adopted: July 5, 2010 (Internship from: March 2009-May 2009, Volunteered from: May 2010-July 2010)

Experience: She grew up in a small town working regularly with farm animals, and also with breeding both German Shepherds and Springer Spaniels. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University in June 2009. National and State Certification also obtained in June 2009. 

Pets: Scarlett, the American Cocker Spaniel and Bella, the ninja cat.  

Interests: Veterinary anesthesia and anesthetic recovery, preventative medicine, reading, baking, martial arts, dance, and spending time with family.

Ambitions/Goals: To begin work with a therapy dog organization, and contribute anything she can to the world of veterinary medicine.

 

Name: Ceilidh

Occupation: Owner of Dr. Frost, mascot, greeter & couch warmer

Date Adopted: June 25th, 2001 - so don’t forget to send birthday treats.

Experience: 8 years working hard at Silver Lake Animal Hospital, more than nearly 5 years living with cancer (over four years in remission!). Ceilidh was diagnosed with a malignant bone cancer in 2006: one leg was amputated and she underwent chemotherapy at the University of Minnesota. I don’t need further education; my job comes naturally to me!

Interests: Herding, running, hiking, canoeing and sleeping!

Ambitions/Goals: To wet as many elbows with my nose as possible.

Name: Franklin Hercules a.k.a. “Frank” 

Occupation: Official taste tester of all hospital dog biscuits.

Experience: 7 years of consumption of all things edible.

My Friends: Mia & the rats, Penny & Patty Cake. My best friend is David (pictured), who delivers all of the hospital’s pet foods.

Interests: Eating, swimming, sleeping, oh, and did I mention eating?

Ambitions/Goals: To train all visitors of Silver Lake Animal Hospital the location of the lobby’s treat jar, having them each feed me a treat, while I keep my trim figure.
